Do I love this yummy and milky treat? YES!⠀
If you are an ”Om Ali” lover, I think I can get you on board with this Dessert!. I really do.⠀
- 1 package, puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup almonds, chopped
- 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup coconut (optional)
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
For whip cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 package whip cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup sugar
Preheat oven to 180°. Butter a rectangular baking dish and set aside.
Place the pastry sheets in the baking dish and poke some holes in the sheets. Bake for 15 minutes till the top layer gets brown and crusty.
Remove from heat and break the pastry sheets into chunks.
In a medium bowl add some nuts of your choice and mix in the pastry chunks. Spread the mixture in a baking dish.
In the meanwhile Add milk in a pan along with sugar and give it a boil over medium heat.
Pour the milk over the nuts mixture.
Beat the whip cream, heavy cream, sugar and vanilla until peaks are formed for 3 minutes and spread on the top of the milk and nuts layer and bake again for 10 minutes till the top layer turns to golden brown.
Remove from heat and garnish with nuts and serve hot and enjoy!
- Use nuts of your choice.
- You can use cake rusk instead of puff pastry sheets.
