French Fries
These French Fries are crispy and soft from inside and trust me, they taste too good!
French Fries
Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 1 cup ice cold water
- 1 cup oil for frying
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Directions
STEP 1
Scrub the potatoes under cold running water. Peel and cut the potatoes lengthwise using a sharp knife and place them in a bowl of ice cold water for 30 minutes.
STEP 2
Remove from water and pat them dry with the paper kitchen towel.
STEP 3
Heat oil in a heavy pan on medium heat.
STEP 4
Gently add the potatoes in the hot oil and fry the potatoes until golden brown for 4-5 minutes without disturbing them and cook till they become crispy.
STEP 5
Remove from heat and place them on the paper towels to drain off excess oil. Fry the remaining batch in the same way until they are golden and crisp.
STEP 6
Top them with salt and black pepper and serve with a sauce of your choice and enjoy!
Notes
- Use ice cold water as it helps to make fries a lot crispier and can be soaked for 2 hours or overnight.
