Cream Roll

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry sheets as required
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

STEP 1
Preheat oven to 180. Spray/brush the baking sheet with cooking spray.

STEP 2
Take out the pastry strips from the freezer and set aside for 10 minutes.

STEP 3
Take a bowl and add fresh cream, whipping cream, sugar, milk and vanilla and mix well.

STEP 4
Using an electric mixer, whip the cream mixture well until well combined and becomes thick enough.

STEP 5
Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface and put stuffing on one corner of the square puff pastry sheet.

STEP 6
Begin to roll one end of the edge, wrap the edge.

STEP 7
Next, bring the other side to the middle. Repeat that on the other side as well.

STEP 8
Dampen the edges of the pastry sheets. Roll it tightly towards the left over edge.

STEP 9
Seal it completely and cover with a damp cloth.

STEP 10
Arrange the tools on a prepared baking sheet , spreading out 2-3 inch strips. Sprinkle with sugar and bake for 8-10 minutes.

STEP 11
Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Sprinkle some powdered sugar and chocolate chips.

STEP 12
There you are.. All set to enjoy tour homemade cream rolls!

Notes

  • Make sure that the cream is refrigerated before hand so that it gets thickened quickly. Keep ice cubes under the bowl. This way, the cream remains cold.
