11 Aug Beef Burger
Sink your teeth into a delicious restaurant-style, hamburger recipe made from lean beef. Skip the packaged patties and take some more time to craft up your own.
The Beef Burger will be topped with chili cheese fries and a side of sweet onion rings.

- 1/2 kg ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1 and 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp bread crumbs
- 4 burger buns
- 1 onion, rings
- 1 tomato, sliced round
- 1/2 cucumber. sliced
- 1/2 capsicum, rings
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard sauce
- 1 tsp peri peri sauce
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 1 tsp bbq sauce
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp mayonnaise(optional)
- 1/4 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tbsp pickled slices(dill or jalapeno)(optional)
For Beef patties
Preheat grill or skillet over a medium heat.
In a large mixing bowl, combine beef with egg, salt, black pepper, garlic and bread crumbs.
Divide beef into 4 patties and form into 1/2 inch thick shapes.
Grill burger patties covered for 3-5 minutes on each side by applying little oil on top. Flip sides when juices are accumulating over the burger and remove from the grill or skillet and set aside.
For Burger Sauce
I came up with the special sauce which is a complex blend of ingredients to put the new rub on the burgers.
Combine the following;
- mustard sauce
- peri peri sauce
- hot sauce
- bbq sauce
- worcestershire sauce
- apple cider vinegar
in a bowl and set aside.
Slice and prepare all of your toppings in a meanwhile.
Spread the sliced buns with melted /softened butter and grill both sides evenly for 1 minute. Toasting the buns gives a great flavor.
Spread the prepared sauce on each side of the buns. Add lettuce, tomato, burger and then top with onion rings and sliced pickles and spread the cheese and place bun tops over and grill for 1 more minute to make it warm and make the cheese melt.
Your juicy and mouth watering burger is ready to serve with loaded french fries on the side.
