Lemonade
You should never have to turn on the stove oven for the lemonade. Ditch the syrup and use the lemon juice to dissolve the sugar in a 3-ingredient recipe that delivers tangy and sweet lemonade every time.
Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 green lime/2 large yellow lemons
- 1/2 cup water, room temperature
- 3 cups water, cold
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp food color, green
Directions
STEP 1
Juice the lemons and strain out the pulp.
STEP 2
Place the sugar and water in a jar and stir till sugar dissolves. You can use an electric mixer to dissolve the sugar.
STEP 3
Add salt and stir continuously. When the salt and sugar has dissolved, add the lemon juice and blend the mixture well.
STEP 4
Add cold water and taste. If the lemonade has too much sugar, thin it with little water. Add the food color of your choice.
STEP 5
Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or add ice and lemon slices and drink right away and enjoy!
Notes
- You can store lemonade in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
