Chicken On Toast
Believe me when I tell you, this is the Best Chicken on Toast recipe! It really doesn’t get much better than crispy chicken on a toasted slice.
It’s easier than you think to make your own friend or family at home. Once you make it, you’ll want to make it again and again!
A quick chicken recipe that can be made under 10 minutes with chicken chunks and spices. The simplest way is to make it in a pan but you can grill it too.
Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- 1 cup minced chicken
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cornflour
- 6 slices bread
- 2 tbsp butter/oil
Directions
STEP 1
Place chicken in an electric mixer and egg white, baking powder, salt, black pepper and cornflour and pulse till chicken is well minced.
STEP 2
Place bread slices on a chopping board and make diagonal cuts and spread the chicken mixture over each slice of bread.
STEP 3
Melt butter/oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Place half of the slices in the pan, spread side down and cook for 5 minutes.
STEP 4
Cook chicken until spread side firms up and turn brown
STEP 5
Flip the slices and toast them for one minute and transfer to a plate and and drain the excess oil on paper towel and keep warm.
STEP 6
Repeat the e process with the remaining half and serve immediately with tea and sauce of your choice.
Notes
- You can grill the slices in an oven too.
- Always use low-medium heat for the toasts.
