Braided Nutella Bread/Cinnamon
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp milk powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2-3 tsp oil
- 7-8 tsp of milk
- 1 tbsp instant yeast
- 1 cup Nutella
- 2 tbsp cinnamon (optional)
In a small cup, add yeast and luke warm water and mix well and put aside to rise for 10 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, add all the dried ingredients like all purpose flour, sugar, salt and milk powder and mix it.
Now add milk, 1 egg and mix thoroughly till it combines the flour well. Add oil gradually while mixing to make it smooth. Add water and knead well till it becomes non-sticky.
Cover with a cloth and put in a warm place to rise for almost an hour till the dough rises to double in size.
Punch down dough and knead for 1 minute and divide the dough into 3-4 balls.
Roll one dough ball into a rectangular shape and brush with either melted butter or oil.
Put you nutella in the middle of the rectangle and cut diagonal slits on the longer sides of the rectangle and braid the slits together and pinch them and tuck them under the roll and neatly folding at the end.
Repeat this for the other dough balls if you want or you can save them to use later.
Brush thoroughly with egg mixture and cover dough loosely with a plastic wrap and sit for 20 minutes to rise.
Brush baking sheet with oil and place the loaf on the greased baking sheet gently.
Preheat oven to 350F and bake it for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool and slice and enjoy!
- If you want to eat a healthy bread and you don’t want to used Nutella, You can add cinnamon rather than Nutella and enjoy!
