Best Omelette
Who says omelettes are just for breakfast? It’s a master recipe everyone should know!
In just a few quick steps, learn how to make the best omelette!
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 1 spring onion (chopped)
- 1 tbsp fresh coriander/cilantro (chopped)
- 1 finely chopped green chili
- 1 tsp butter
Directions
STEP 1
Crack eggs, and whisk together salt and black pepper in a mixing bowl untill they are well combined.
STEP 2
Add chopped onion, spring onion, coriander and green chilies in whisked eggs.
STEP 3
Heat butter in a non-stick pan on a low-med heat.
STEP 4
When butter melts, pour in egg mixture and spread the eggs around the edges immediately with the help of a spatula or by tilting the pan.
STEP 5
Let the eggs cook for about 20-30 seconds and the scrape a line through the middle with a spatula and lift it up and allow to fill up the runny egg and wait for 10 more seconds until cooked enough.
STEP 6
Fold over the omelette in half and cook both sides well and slide onto a plate and serve hot with bread toasts and enjoy!
Notes
- Wait till the whole omelette is well cooked from inside, otherwise bad smell will come out.
- If you want a soft and fluffy omelette, you can add a splash of water in the eggs which create steam as it cooks.
- For more servings, multiply the recipe as needed.
