06 Nov Chicken Biryani
1 kg chicken
3 cups rice
1/2 cup oil
1 Tsp ginger paste
1 Tsp garlic paste
1/2 cup yogurt
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chilies
1/2 tsp garam masala
5-6 dried plums
1 Tsp vinegar
In a pan, fry onion till golden brown.
Take out half of the fried onion and oil in a bowl
Add ginger and garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
Now, add chicken and cook till it changes its color.
Add tomatoes and cook on a high flame till it leaves the oil.
In yogurt add salt, red chilies and garam masala and mix.
When the chicken is done with tomatoes, add the yogurt and cook for a while.
In the end add the soaked plums and put aside.
In water add vinegar and give it a boil.
Add rice and cook till they become almost soft and done.
Now make the layers of biryani.
In a pan add the boiled rice-chicken-rice-chicken-rice-lemon and mint leaves and food coloue and put on simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Now mix it well and serve hot with raita and salad.
