Mooli Paratha Recipe|Radish Paratha
Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups radish, grated
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 and 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp black seed
- 1 tsp crushed coriander
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander
- 1 inch ginger, grated
Directions
STEP 1
Firstly, knead wheat flour with salt and water in a medium bowl or with the help of a blender/electric mixer until well incorporated and soft and cover and set aside for 20 minutes.
STEP 2
Grate radish and add salt and place in a strainer and set aside for 20 minutes.
STEP 3
Squeeze the radish water very well with the help of a kitchen napkin/towel and place in a medium mixing bowl.
STEP 4
Add salt, red chili powder, black seed, crushed coriander, fresh chopped coriander, ginger and mix thoroughly.
STEP 5
Grease and flour griddle/tawa and place on a medium heat
STEP 6
Now, take out 2 small dough balls and roll into small circles on a lightly floured work surface.Make sure the dough circles should be of the same size.
STEP 7
Place the radish stuffing on one of the dough circle in the middle leaving the edges empty.
STEP 8
Gently place the second dough circle on top and press and seal the edges with your fingertips.
STEP 9
Sprinkle some flour on the work surface and on the paratha and roll to make it flat. Transfer on the griddle/tawa and cook both sides by flipping and pressing until it turns golden brown and use ghee/oil. I prefer ghee because it tastes a lot better.
STEP 10
Remove from heat and serve hot with yogurt or pickles and enjoy your breakfast!
