Gulaab jaman 2
Mix 2 cups water, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 3-4 cardamom, 1 pinch of saffron and cook well.
Cook till you get a consistency.
There should be no thread formation.
Stir in rose water.
Mix 1 cup nid/milk powder, 1/4 cup all purpose flour, pinch of baking soda.
Add 1 teaspoon oil/ghee and 1 tablespoon yogurt.
Keep on adding yogurt unless it becomes soft and elastic.
Dough should not be dry.
Heat oil and reduce the heat.
Fry the balls till it changes its color on a low heat.
Add the balls into the syrup and soak them for 2-3 hours
Can serve hot by heating them in a microwave.
