Mughlai Chicken
Ingredients
4tablespoon ground almons
1 inch ginger
4 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon coriander
2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
1/4 cup oil
1 kg chicken
5 cardamom
1 cinnamon stick
2 bay leaves
4 cloves
2 chopped onions
1/2 cup yogurt
1 cup chicken stock
1/2 cup cream
2 teaspoon raisins
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Directions
Blend the ginger, garlic, coriander, cumin and chili flakes in a blender or chopper and make a paste and set aside.
grind the almonds and add 1/4 cup water and make a smooth paste.
Heat oil in a pan and add chicken and cook til it changes its color.
In another pan, roast the cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves, and cloves for 1 minute and add chopped onions and cook well.
Pour in the blended paste of the chili and cook till it gives a nice color.
Add yogurt and stir and add chicken stock, cream and raisins and cook.
Now add the chicken and mix well.
Sprinkle over garam masala, sugar, salt and put on simmer for 20 minutes.
Put in a dish and garnish the almonds on top and serve.
